Has anyone noticed the fake 'LOGIN' on www.qgenindustries.com/private appears to be just like Mr. Al-Mazeedi fake. It is unsecure fake link to www.qgenindustries.com:80

As a web designer for him, anyone can see it is as fake as anyone can see.

see:
www.qgenindustries.com/private
www.qgenenergy.com/private

I see he still does not care about security. When will he learn.

I finally got paid for my work.

Insider here,

BTU is moving again? We all know this drill. Another Winter Street building? LOL What a joke!

Unknown said...

I think WilmerHale has or had some space in Bay Colony Corporate Center - 1100 Winter Street. Maybe you can be neighbors or co-tenants.

That Wilmerhale office has documents hidden from the courts to protect Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi. Lawyers will be lawyers.

Anonymous said...

As a consultant for Mr. Almazeedi I can state at his home, he has a basement storage room with tons of documents and a huge shredder.

Anonymous said...

As a consulant, I can say what is the bet? Wael runs back to London or Japan?

I guess Japan, since Mitsue wears the pants in the family and the company. She is the real CEO.

She lets him travel and waste large amounts of their wealth knowing he will never get funding.

Anonymous said...

I am a new hire at QGEN energy whom cannot believe Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi keeps his employees here on a Friday night for no good reason until 8 PM other than to keep his employees from their families.

Shame for them for staying working here. I'm already updating my resume and applying for jobs with my smartphone.

Anonymous said...

I am a new hire too, sort of, I was a summer intern once. My first task was to clean out a fileroom that has dons of electronic documents for all pending legal cases. We trashed tons of things and had help form the BlueLanGroup IT people to remove all computer equipment that included Mr. Hayat, Mr. Betancourt, and Mr. Murphy old desktops and laptops.

We organized as Christina Stephens said. Sure you can call it that, but we destroyed any evidence that could be use against QGEN and BTU in court vs Wael.

I am updating my resume and actively looking for anything to get out of this crazy hostile work environment.

A BlueLanGroup consultant told me that was at Wael's house a while back replacing a firewall and setting up a link to the office, told me he had a tons of BTU documents stored in the same room with a massive shredder. He was a little worried too and knows something isn't right.

Let's hope we get layoff notice for the holidays.

Anonymous said...

What is the name of the large husky German girl that works for Wael?

Anonymous said...

Her name is Christina Stephens

Anonymous said...

In the office, she was reviewing a video over and over and over about her planting a voice activated recording device in a former employee they refer to as Martin.

The rumor in the office is that she is worried about Mr. Murphy doing a deposition. He was a former IT Manager whom got a layoff notice over a year ago, but he made backup copies using BTU video security system of Christina. She is worried about a felony charge against her.

I'm the poor IT guy that had to help her review many videos. She is a clueless girl. Yes, she is HUSKY.

Anonymous said...

Love that husky description.

She had to look this way, else Mitsue, (Wael's wife) would not allow a hot looking secretary.

Christina gets coffee / tea and as you can tell food, I can say she snacks on the food, for all our visitors who come to our office.

We are moving or shall I say starting to plan to move. Employees tell me that is Wael's way of making a distraction in the office.

I'm glad that I don't have to work crazy hours like most here.

Makes you wonder if that's the reason Wael Al-Mazeedi is throwing 7 lawyers against Murphy in the lawsuit (see section BTU Lawyers).
Al-Mazeedi and Oishi were using 5 lawyers to defend themselves in the lawsuit against them by their former partner and that already seemed like a LOT.

Anonymous said...

7 Lawyers really? I heard Murphy has the best lawyer in the State of Massachusetts.

7 Lawyers vs the Best Lawyer, I will support Murphy if I get called into court. I know people working there and past employees that support Murphy.

What will 2011 bring? We know more Lawyers and no funding for Mr. Al-Mazeedi.

Anonymous said...

I agree. 2011 will be more lawyers for Wael, he changes general counsel here like baby diapers.

How many has been thru in the past few years?

Anonymous said...

Why does Mr. Al-Mazeedi think 7 lawyers are better than one?

I hope they already received a large advance since we never pay our bills on Net 30, not net 60, move like Net when Wael feels like paying, hence we have the worst credit record for any company, or shall I say companies, but we know the truth.

Also, why do you think LoAn Le, who works for Christina Stephens, has access to all finances. It could the reason that the last guy left. People changing finance numbers from the CEO means trouble. I get to see if first hand everyday. It is like having a front row seat.

Get some popcorn.

Anonymous said...

7 lawyers =

1 BTU Power
1 BTU Ventures
1 BTU Industries
1 QGEN Industries

1 MW Partners

As a consultant and a former employee, maybe he just likes to continue to waste time and money of his investors. For what?

Why did 3 witnesses of Mr. Al-Mazeedi has lunch with Mr. Murphy recently? What did they talk about?

How many lawyers have been employees of Wilmer Hale work for Wael now? Is it true that he has had a few lawyers in the past few years start working then leave?

We have crazy turn over for such a small company.

Can someone name them all for the last 6 years?

Anonymous said...

I don't think they would want their names listed here.

Anonymous said...

Just Google them.

Unknown said...

Some stumbling blocks regarding getting any kind of understanding regarding BTU turnover... Many leave out BTU altogether from their public profiles (e.g. LinkedIn). Others choose to list "private company" instead of BTU. Others work as independent contractors and describe their experience with BTU generically (e.g. "worked with/advised company that has power investments in the Middle East"), etc...

Anonymous said...

That is true. It is better to say you never work for them.

Anonymous said...

I do not state that I ever worked there. It just makes life so much easier. Once you say you worked for Wael Al-Mazeedi, people will Google him and find your great blog.

I understand why they list "private company".

Anonymous said...

Is FieldStone still trying to pitch QGEN or BTU&QGEN to investors? I wonder if they got paid?

Lawyer costs are eating up Mitsue, you can see if in her face.

Office is getting worst to work in, people are all looking for new jobs. The longer they work here, the harder it will be to explain the gap in time, saying they did not work for Mr. Al-Mazeedi.

Order my pen! (BTU Insider joke.) Most people get a pen or a lawsuit.

Dear Blogger,

Here we are... at 890 Winter Street now, so I guess all the lawyers will have to change their address books.

BTU Ventures
BTU Industries
BTU Power
BTU PowerManagement
QGEN Industries
QGEN Energy
Fate Consortium
MW-Partners

Who are we? Now at our new place? Log this you whack job of a CEO!

Husky german girl still looks ghastly, vile and butt-ugly. I guess that saying "You are what you eat! is true! In English and in German.

Same crazy CEO, same pathetic CEO Office staff including that husky girl, poor current co-workers and they will never get funding.

Try to track this post here at work. I enabled wireless on the MacBook Pro and posted using wireless card! Love all the delusions my CEO has and I have a front row seat.

Anonymous said...

The mold here,

I wonder if Mr. CEO doesn't understand that all these security doors can be bypassed with pulling a fire alarm. I just followed in a building cleaning crews into the new 890 Winter Street, too easy. Cool cameras everywhere like Foxwoods!

Rumor in the office is that we are in the middle cubicles so that the new empty offices will be for our replacements. The smart ones are looking and leaving.

I have my pop corn ready. Butter anyone?

Correct, I did a typo. I feel like Mold.

Enjoying all the cameras and many swipe cards. This place is like a prison. Wael and his clowns have their own door to access the office and the rest of the employees cannot access his office. They are busy applying for new jobs.

The rest of us have to go thru many security swipes. I found a cell phone inside our office today. It must have been from whomever is leaving me notes on my car, but instead of handing it over to Wael and freaking out the new office, I put it in the trash in the bathroom.

Time to pack up.

To current employees and "The Mole":

BTU back in Burlington MA was the same as all this crap above and on this site. Same story, just different actors (I know they are people, but it is all an act.) The smart ones leave on their own, like I did.

I found this site via Google and love that finally someone is documenting Wael Al-Mazeedi in his true colors. I'm sure he will be filing lawsuits and attempting to find Blogger McLayton! He loves paying lawyers and that hasn't changed.

2006 was a fun year to work for him, we all thought we were out of jobs, then he wins an award and he thought is was the king of the world, but the posting on this site explains the truth. I even remember that fake Time photoshop photo (good posting) that his older Daughter Mai whom worked for him for a bit, she did it. She was smart to have a kid to stop working for her step Dad.

As far as is "known," neither Al-Mazeedi nor Stephens has EVER been Deposed (i.e. "questioned under oath either in Federal or State Court"), by the opposing parties in ANY litigation (Hayat, Betancourt, Murphy, McBrearty).

Al-Mazeedi has provided several Affidavits ("sworn statements") to the Courts. However, the Affidavits are just his words, as he "recalls" or wants them "presented," without the burden of being questioned by the opposing parties.

Moreover, several of the Verified Complaints "the lawsuits," haven been "sworn to under pains of perjury" to a Notary Public. Research reveals that the notary public of record was, surprise, Christina Stephens.

So perhaps, and this is just conjecture, he (and Christina and others at QGEN, BTU Ventures, BTU Industries) are now obligated to accept questioning and provide "truthful answers" in US or State Courts.

Research regarding the Murphy and Betancourt litigation indicates that (Wael Al-Mazeedi, Christina Stephens, Faisal Khan, Jeffrey Kent, Kevin Donovan, and others have been identified as "deponents" and, moreover, BTU Industries Holdings (USA) Inc. and BTU Ventures, Inc., are obligated to produce ALL documents asked for during "discovery."

According to the Court schedule for the US District Court, for December 7, 2010, Boston "Docket Schedule." Betancourt has a "Discovery Scheduling Conference" tomorrow at 11:45 am EST.

4 of Betancourt's counterclaims are scheduled to be heard by the judge at that time. The wiretap (2) claims were not even challenged by BTU - Wilmerhale (It'd be hard to argue against video evidence of someone planting listening devices in employees's offices.) Those have already "gone through" and will go to trial.

QGEN ENERGY Top 10 Predictions 2011 (Btu Ventures/Btu Industries...)

1) Wael Al-Mazeedi leaves the US on a one way ticket back to Japan with his wife so he won't show up in court.

2) Christina Stephens leaves with Wael, since she can't work any where else and she owes him big time for paying off her debts. She left once, but came back. She will be in court alot in 2011.

3) Mr. Michael Stephens gets sued. He is the Head of Security BTU Ventures/ BTU Industries and Christina's Father. Why isn't he on the court list? I remember Mr. Stephens gave former IT Manager Murphy a fake FBI business card "Head of Security" and that he told Murphy he was a FBI Agent. Murphy contacted sources at Quantico and confirmed that "Michael Stephens was a hourly security guard and not a FBI Agent." Wael paid him $2,500 a month for what? I wonder if he reads this blog? I think Wael should ask for his money back. Or the Al-Mazeedi way, call a lawyer and file another complaint.

4) Jeffrey Kent already left the company. He will be known for his famous QGEN tagline contest winning lines. For those that don't know, It was an employees and consultants contest only. Wael thought Kent's line was great "Dirty Country. Clean Power." and "We are not who you think we are!" were great. Not very professional if you ask me.

5) Kevin Donovan, not sure what happened to him. I know he most likely landed on his feet since he was a smart guy.

6) Faisal Khan leaves, so he doesn't have to go to court.

7) Vinayak will finally take another job.

8) HR/IT people quit or get fired.

9) Yasmeen graduates from Lexington High School : )

10) Mitsue leaves for Japan.

So it appears that all the high tech cameras, recording all actions of their employees and many security swipe card systems can't find me. I know they are watching, but man are they so slow.

Wow! As a new hire, I can't figure this place out, but easy to take the money until something better comes about.

Wilmerhale doesn't care about the truth, just getting paid. They know not to challenge what they can't win.

Wait until Murphy get deposed for his case and Betancourt's cases. I heard in the office the other day both are scheduled soon.

Christina Stephens told me Betancourt and Murphy are being questioned, I think she said before X-Mass. She looked a little worried when she told me. She said Wael figures it will ruin their X-Mass.

But I knowing Murphy when he worked here, I don't think Wael is going to not like the presents Murphy discloses.

To: The Mole & co-workers, Global Investors

Subject: How is you rate of return on investment with Al-Mazeedi?

So investors, how are the returns for all the Btu Ventures, Btu Industries and Qgen going?

So employees: Bonuses? 401K matching? Lay-Offs?

I think Al-Mazeedi knows he cannot fool smart people, just fool those that he can control or pay, like lawyers.

Did you know that former IT Manager Murphy has a 200% ROI in the last 2 years. His net worth has skyrocketed.

Does Al-Mazeedi have lay-off remorse?

Anonymous said...

I worked with Murphy. I know he invested in Apple Stock (AAPL) back in 1997. Have you heard of Apple?

Murphy told one of his co-worker Brad to invest in Apple around $100 a share. He made some quick money. But Brad should have listened to Murphy and hold longer. He sold at $200 range.

Apple Stock is now $322+ and going higher.

How does non-MBA and non-finance IT guy make a 8000% return since 1997.

Maybe Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi should have asked him? Or now Al-Mazeedi's lawyers might ask that question? I think investors might want to ask him too?

Also, people should know he received 2 jobs offers within days of each other then intterviewing at MIT Lincoln Labs, his third job he was looking into which he had 6 hours of interviews but BTU reference check was the Boston Business Journal.

I would post Murphy's blog, but I don't think he wants people to know about it. After reading above I figure Lawyers will never locate it.

The Mole has left the company or shall I say the new 890 Winter Street location. 1 week = 1 down, same track record as the 1000 Winter Street.

Anonymous said...

Is it true that Mr. Betancourt, Mr. Murphy and another former consultants have Engineering degrees? No wonder they were let go, smart engineers can figure out when someone is not being straight with them. Engineers can land jobs in a down market.

Explains how a person received 2 jobs offers lands a MIT Lincoln Labs interviews with their Solid State Division designing VLSI chips for the government just to see what it would be like to work there.

I wonder if the BTU reference call was negative? Any current employees know? Since their wasn't an HR person there when Murphy was let go? Who answered the phone at BTU? Any ideas? I think I know.

He only applied for 3 jobs, 2 job offers came in while Al-Mazeedi legal team did a press release in the Boston Business Journal. Murphy still went to the interview, at Lincoln Labs, even thou BTU had attempt to deny Murphy the right to employment with the leak to the press. I hope he sues them in return.

Anonymous said...

It almost seemed as if the "story" of Brian Murphy's lawsuit was "planted" or "fed" to the press.

I found it curious that James W. Bucking, the senior lawyer for the second group of lawyers (Foley Hoag) in Al-Mazeedi's 7 person legal tag-team, prominently displays in Foley Hoag's website that he "...is frequently sought out for comment by major media organizations..." "He has been quoted in ... Boston Business Journal ... Boston.com ..." There's a bunch of other media outlets listed as well.

Based on public info regarding ALL the other lawsuits, BTU is only using Foley Hoag w/regards to Brian Murphy. Al-Mazeedi hired four of their lawyers (in addition to 3 WilmerHale lawyers) for a lawsuit that was pretty much a repeat of the other lawsuits he filed against former employees or contractors. I wonder how much they've done other than sign their names to the court documents?

BTU got "immediate" coverage for something that really was not newsworthy.

The "unasked question" is WHY? Why doe Wael Al-Mazeedi, with the assistance of his loyal inner circle, have to (need to)? maintain such types of surveillance and control over current and former employees, etc.

Is it because he is doggedly protecting the business interests of his investors? of his partners? Is he looking out for THEIR best interests (and that of his employees as well)?

Or, are Wael Al-Mazeedi (and Mitsue Oishi) pursuing a very different agenda?

The answer to the question above may help explain how far they'll go to achieve their objectives and what means they'll use.

I was told by someone who used to work at BTU a couple of years ago that Wael Al-Mazedi coducted some kind of internal investigation using WilmerHale lawyers, including one called Chory who happened to have a background in US Army Intelligence. Apparently Chory conducted questioning of employees. This might appear to be "overkill" but it's the way he operates.

As one of the ones on the receiving end of one of the interrogations - I can confirm.

Not too subtle - one asks questions while the other looks for body language cues. It was fun providing ambiguous body language.

John H. Chory

What was he doing INTERROGATING people when he's a venture capital lawyer. I leave for others to decide. Except for the fact that WilmerHale has always been paid a lot of money by Wael Al-Mazeedi

Blood is "thicker than water" MONEY is thicker than EVERYTHING else.

from wilmerhale website: "John Chory is the chair of the WilmerHale Venture Group and a member of the Corporate Practice Group. He joined the firm in 1988. His practice focuses on the representation of early-stage and venture-backed technology and life sciences companies"

Has anyone researched our 2 Press Releases

on www.QGENENGERY.com site

http://www.qgenenergy.com/news.htm#conference

Press Release 1
TURE OF FALSE?
Former HR Manager registered QGEN to attend MIT Conference but Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi gave her a lay-off notice instead of letting her go. A great idea was rewarded with a lay-off notice since it wasn't Al-Mazeedi's idea.

TRUE: NO Current employees have ever been hired from the MIT Energy Conferences.

Press Release 2
TRUE or FALSE?
Why doesn't the FLAGEB Group (www.flabeg.com) list QGEN nor the Consortium "joined forces" sounds like an Army Press Release on their

http://www.flabeg.com/en/flabeg_koop_en.php

(COOPERATIONS)

TRUE: They don't want to list QGEN at all. I wonder if they know about the QGEN Press Release?

No Solar Engineers work for us at QGENENERGY?
Should be be called a "Local Energy Company" in MA?

We are really just a finance company using QuickBooks for a few employees. Doesn't sound like a 1 Billion dollar fund using Quickbooks?

Anonymous said...

QGEN (Al-Mazeedi's) "PR campaign" sounds like good old fashioned name dropping. He wants to project credibility by association since QGEN has (fill-in the number) substance.

It's very telling that the PR release was written and distributed by QGEN

EXACTLY!

John, you missed me posting this while working!

For those who are unaware, the "Free Ian Cain" t-shirts were made as a joke after Mr. Cain was arrested by the Abu Dhabi police for taking photographs of the Taweelah power plant.

He spent more than 8 hours in custody and was finally "sprung" after the intervention of a family member of the head of the plant's majority investor (Emirates royal family).

"IRS" reporting fee..."

1. Chauffer driver for Oishi and/or Al-Mazeedi.

2. Japanese woman that works in their house (possibly as a translator - interpreter although it is not known if she speaks any other language).

Sounds like personal expenses - not company expenses. Just like the tutor for his daughter as Monica (Gupta?) was described in one of these comments

3. "She was Yasmeen Al-Mazeedi's tutor at one point and then to the inner circle of Mr. Al-Mazeedi because she couldn't work anywhere else."

Monica was personal expense first - then, after hired by BTU (QGEN), company payroll.

There are multiple IRS-related issues involved in the arrangements described above.

Regarding a comment elsewhere in this blog about how BTU/QGEN stays afloat with a business model that burns much more money than it generates - the obvious answer (discussed elsewhere so it's not even my own conjecture): cash has to come in from somewhere else...

The SOMEWHERE ELSE gets to the heart of the matter of what BTU/QGEN are. I am not alone as an individual in saying that I know EXACTLY how that game works (having had direct contact with BTU/QGEN).

It's not mentioned anywhere in this blog, but it's very simple... All you have to do is think back on the ORIGINAL business model presented to the investors (i.e. "how do I get them to invest money with 'me' and how will 'I' give them get their money back plus some profit").

Anybody else still in the BTU/QGEN "circle of trust" also knows exactly how that game works. THEY helped perpetuate it: Christina S, Ian C, Lo-An L, Monica G, Mitsue O and her daughter Mai O...etc.).

I would also venture there are several (many or perhaps, ALL) disgruntled investors (as Mr. Al-Mazeedi characterizes them in his numerous lawsuits) in the Middle East, and maybe even some "gruntled" investors, that know what's going on but can't or haven't been able to do anything about it... YET.

Anonymous said...

Just looking at various court documents referenced in this blog and their descriptions of how "cash flows": profits are generated by the investments (Carthage Power Company, Taweelah Asia Power Co.).

These profits are distributed to one of the BTU affiliates.

BTU Power Management receives its "management" fee. This is a fixed amount.

Mr. Al-Mazeedi then has full discretion (as the sole holder of the "voting share" in BTU Power Mangement Co.) regarding how all other cash remaining above and beyond the management fee is used (I bet it's quite SIGNIFICANT, TAPCO is a huge -size and capital requirements- power plant.)

Mr. Al-Mazeedi decides: "should this money go to the investors to pay back their investment and give them a bit of profit" or he decides SOMETHING ELSE...

Check out the IFIC and Hayat litigatin to get an idea of what Mr. Al-Mazeedi decides is "BEST"

Anonymous said...

I used first names and the initial for last names in my comments.

However, I would have to ask: why does someone worry about their name appearing in this blog if they did the "RIGHT" thing (whether it's "RIGHT" according to Mr. Al-Mazeedi or everybody HE regards are his detractors)?

Everybody picks a path and they FOLLOW IT and lives with the consequences.

Anonymous said...

The mere fact that one was associated with BTU / QGEN is / may become a very negative thing when one goes looking for the next job or a job in 5 years.

Many of the employees there are young and do not have the resources to "just walk away" when things are going in a direction that one does not approve.

Anonymous said...

The BTU / QGEN "very negative thing...: comment above is not true. Former IT Manager Murphy received 2 job offers and had a 3rd coming after BTU/QGEN negative reference and they leaked to the press false information. HR Managers Google BTU and quickly find this Blog and it speaks for itself. (Great Blog!)

Anonymous said...

A quick observation regarding the remaining employees.

Seems like the majority are only providing support services, secretarial, research, graphics, human resources, etc. There seem to be only 2 or 3 employees or contractors (and the IT group) that might be able to work "meaningfully" in an environment of power plants, etc.

Maybe I read this wrong but it seems that Lo-An Le was involved in accounting (maybe even controller) and she is now serving a a secretary to Christina Stephens (Al-Mazeedi's secretary) as well as receptionist.

A secretary that needs a secretary seems odd. Specially for a company this size.

Anonymous said...

Do the people that still work there believe almazeedi's press releases? The ones where he states he is changing the world somehow and building billion dollar companies? Even though as is obvious from this blog BTU hasn't made any new investments since 2004 (almost 7 years ago). Or are the salaries/benefits that good that people can just pretend? What keeps them going?

I guess the dark cloud has followed them to their "used" new office space.

It is not true that employees who do not list BTU/QGEN on Linkedin are still searching for employment or hiding. Employees were told not to post on Linkedin. The message was in the hyper competitive environment that BTU competes in "our enemies" could gather useful intelligence from the profiles of BTU workers. Those who don't BTU omn Linkedin are following orders.

Also, regarding Linkedin. When employees were told not to post profiles, maybe one can assume that the true goal was to keep lawyers and non-US based people/enemies from contacting BTU employees.
To paraphrase WAM "it's a hostile world, there are lots of people trying to bring us down". He was right about that.
