His efforts paid off in the end, but there is no surprise in that. Ever since he stepped up as Chairman and CEO of the firm, Al-Mazeedi had never once experienced a major upset in his career and with every successful deal that he had closed, [Note: he hasn't closed a deal since 2005] the market has only become more fascinated and impressed with his incredible acuity [Note: yes, the market has become fascinated by you, your actions, and the actions of you acolytes - C. Stephens, LoAn Le, Jackie Wolfram, Ian Cain, Faizal (Fazle or Fuzzle) Khan, etc.] for selecting projects with the greatest potential.
With the intellectual gifts that Al-Mazeedi possesses, he would have made more billions and in a shorter period of time if he had concentrated on carbon-based fuel. But Al-Mazeedi appeared to thrive in challenges. More importantly, though, Al-Mazeedi was not the type to turn a blind eye to the growing environmental concerns of the world. It is why he made sure that from the very start, BTU Industries would be known for focusing solely on providing both infrastructure and technological needs for alternative energy industries around the world. He had also made sure that his company was in the forefront for all kinds of alternative energy, regardless of whether it was in nuclear energy, fuel cell, or solar energy. [Note: so Wael now owns nuclear power plants... something new always surfaces everyday about the Dear Leader] Al-Mazeedi is a hundred percent sure that the future lies in alternative energy and the nonstop success he enjoys [Note: this refers to the DIVIDENDS from the Middle East investors. As long as these dividends continue, WAEL will certainly continue to experience NONSTOP enjoyment.] from the many projects his company had been commissioned to take over proves him to be correct.
The world is also far from being ignorant of the many great attributes of Al-Mazeedi. In 2006, he successfully beat other hopefuls by being chosen to be the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awardee in the energy, chemicals, and mining division. Although there were many notable names that were also submitted for the same category in 2006, there was truly no question about Al-Mazeedi winning the award [Note: specially since he "bought it" with the Middle East investors money. Whether paid for by the Middle East investors or not, how is this relevant half a decade after the fact???]. Nowadays, people wanted an entrepreneur to be something else than someone who is merely capable of generating profit from unique sources. Nowadays, people wanted entrepreneurs to be corporate heroes and serve as inspiration to many. Ernst & Young also felt the same way, making sure that their awardees could serve as role models. And in the case of Al-Mazeedi of BTU Industries, there was definitely a lot that people could admire about him and learn from as well."

Simple question: how many of Wael's current or former "investors" (the ones that actually coughed-up money, eg, Qatar National Bank, Qatar Investment Authority, Dubai Islamic Bank,etc.) as well as Wael's "business partners" have visited Wael "freely" in his offices in Waltham over the past 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. years. Meaning, without security details. He seems to be one scared little man.
Another simple question: how many times have Emil M. and Tibor T., the dream team finance duo, visited QGEN's and Wael's non-existent operational hybrid solar power plants. surely if they are pitching this "unique, wonderful, and profitable" business opportunity to investors they MUST have first-hand knowledge of Wael's marvels of science and engineering... Or maybe they don't have that kind of first hand (or even third hand) knowledge... perhaps because there is nothing to visit. maybe the reason they have not been able to visit those operational assets all over the world is because the teletransporters at QGEN, formerly from the old Start Trek series, have been malfunctioning. what's going on. emil, tibor, care to comment?
