According to court records in the Betancourt and Hayat lawsuits Wael Al-Mazeedi is due to be deposed. Christina Stephens has also been "noticed."
They will be deposed.
What should they be asked?
[Note: It goes without saying that Al-Mazeedi has had a lot of help doing what he's been doing for the past few years. Christina Stephens has seemingly been a devoted "constant" since who knows when. Ian Cain has also been a constant, albeit, with a lower profile than CS. Faisal Khan (or Fazle Khan) is also a constant. Lo-An Le is a "veteran" constant.]

May is the normal month that people leave Al-Mazeedi's company. The smart ones leave, get a lay-off or sued.

I would assume F. Khan will stick around for a while.
He's been around since BTU was formed (except for a respite in 2007-2008) so he's been privy to all the "interesting" things done by BTU. Almazeedi would want to "keep him close" for that very fact alone.
BTU has not made any new investments since sometime in 2005 so there is no real "new" business to take care of...
He gets a very, very, very good paycheck from Almazeedi.
In summary, it's apparently in his and Almazeedi's best interest for him to stick around...
If, however, "the ship is really sinking" he'll certainly want to grab onto anything that floats.
Just about everybody that's commented on this blog has observed the fact that BTU/QGEN/FATE Consortium/"It's all the same company anyway" has very significant turnover. BTU/x/y/z is a small company by any standard. However, people seem to change on a very regular basis.
HR Managers, IT Managers, all other kinds of Managers. Corporate/Project counsel, accountants, controllers, etc. Also, Almazeedi's had a different (and numerous) personal assistants.
If I put a list together of all the people that have been in and out of BTU/x/y/z since I was there 3 yrs. ago it would be a long list.
Maybe the blogger should compile a list of everybody that's been associated with BTU to see how many people have actually been through the revolving door.

Nothing yet. They've seemingly been very good at evading depositions to date. However, time is running out for them. The judge in the Betancourt litigation said "NO MORE EXTENSIONS" for discovery.
I like that NO MORE EXTENSIONS. God is good. The Judge is good.
I bet the BTU vs Betancourt case gets dropped. BUT the Betancourt vs Al-Mazeedi goes forward.
