James Commodore speaks: What was James saying about Wael Al-Mazeedi before he got called into Wael's office on December 4 or 5 2008???

[Note: We are still working on making this post coherent.  We'll have it right soon.  Meantime, we'll publish our Work-In-Progress.  This post is actually a build-up to the previously mentioned re-review of James Commodore's affidavit.]

We have direct information that the following post was created by Mr. James Commodore, a principal auxiliary in Almazeedi's litigious initiatives.  Mr. Commodore was Corporate Counsel, Project Counsel, and General Counsel, etc.(in his own words) for Mr. Almazeedi from 2008 until 2009.

There are several people, not associated with this blog, that can confirm Mr. James Commodore's authorship. Moreover, BTU Ventures/BTU Industries/QGEN monitors, and maintains a tremendously detailed record of everybody's entire internet activities, at work and elsewhere.  They have "first-hand knowledge/evidence" of Mr. Commodore's post given the fact that they were monitoring his activities in real-time.

[Note:  Mr. Commodore posted this "review" right from BTU Venture's offices in Waltham]

After you read Mr. Commodore's post below you might ask yourself  "how did James Commodore and Wael Al-Mazeedi become the "best of friends" barely two weeks after Mr. Commodore authored the following post and was being investigated himself.  Considering the fact that Mr. Commodore is an attorney and he signed his affidavit under the "penalties of perjury" he must have stated everything that was the full, and absolute, truth.  Maybe he was just counting on the assumption/hope that 2.5 yrs after he signed this document all the people being sued by Wael Al-Mazeedi would have already "cried uncle" by now.  If all of Wael's litigation "opponents" had disappeared by know, Mr. Commodore would not be subject to being called by US Federal Court or Massachusetts Superior Court to give a full and honest accounting in front of a jury.

And now, Mr. James Commdore's words

James Commodore's post on JobVent.com
Waltham, MA 11/25/2008:

The Company is built around the CEO. Although that is not uncommon, is this case, he is erratic, somewhat paranoid, and seems to exhibit poor impulse control. I am not saying this to bash him, but rather to help explain the terrible work environment.

If you doubt, question, confront, or otherwise act or demonstrate a believe that he may be incorrect, mistaken, or wrong, he will "punish" you. Anything that an employee does that he is unhappy with may have similar results. The response may range from ignoring and not speaking/listening to you, to denying access to resources, to demotion.

Furthermore, there is an exceptionally high emphasis on internal information control.  All records more than one year old are kept under lock and key.  (The company dates back to 2002.)  Simply possessing records he believes you should not have may result in negative repercussions.  When materials/records are needed, an explicit request must be made, which is often impossible.  (How can yo make an explicit request for anything and everything that may be relevant to "x, y, or z"?)

On top of all this, contact and communication with the CEO , both to and from, is managed only through one of his assistants, of which he has 3. This dynamic, the mixture indirect communication and it being built around him and his personality, results in a fire drill only environment, where if an issue that he does not want to deal with (as it makes him unhappy or cast doubt or shows problems with the way things have been done in the past) will only be acknowledged and dealt with when he begins to panic over it, at which time he expects/demands that you must fix it immediately and not rest until it is done. If at any time in the process of doing so, something happens that he doesn't like, regardless of the what it is that happens or the actual cause, there is a high likelihood of negative repercussions.

All of these issues result in a work environment that leaves one dissatisfied, feeling disrespected, and lacking any security, balance, or expectation of growth. As to the co-worker competence, the essence of that mark is that highly competent people tend not o fair well with the CEO's personality and methods. They are more likely to raise issues, know/believe that they are right, and otherwise "push his buttons," so to speak. Very quickly they either leave or become sidelined. Those that don't tend to either not know better, not care, or expect to be rewarded for support (bonuses, etc.), none of which results in a highly competent and/or capable work force.

Other than that, at least in my case, the pay is average for the position, the benefits are fine, and the location is neither good nor bad.

In an email to Betancourt dated Thursday November 27, 2008 (Thanksgiving Day) Commodore wrote to Betancourt:

Martin,
In case you run into any lawyers, law firms, or companies who may be interested in new hires, attached is my resume.
Try and enjoy your holiday.
James

1st or 2nd December 2008
A short time later, soon after Thanksgiving, Mr. Betancourt and I noticed the presence of Ventures' outside legal counsel (WilmerHale and Leonard Learner?) at our offices and a general flurry of activity. (Paragraph 21)
[Note: The 1st working day after Thanksgiving in 2008 was December 1]

Approximately 4th or 5th December 2008
James Commodore's own words from the affidavit he submitted to US Federal Court.  [link: Commodore Affidavit]

  • "I also told him [Betancourt] that if there was an actual investigation I would welcome it and cooperate." (Paragraph 24)
  • "I have cooperated fully with Ventures' investigation from that time to the present." (Paragraph 25)
Sworn to under the pains and penalties of perjury this 14th day of January 2009.

James is trying to save his own ass. But I bet once other co-workers come forward Mr. Betancourt will have all the evidence to win his case vs. Wael Al-Mazeedi.

It will be a huge reunion of former workers. Any one still there is just taking the Investors' money until the job market comes along.

The reunion will take place in Federal Court. I plan to sit behind Mr. Betancourt and his lawyers.

Can't wait!

So,according to James Commodore, highly competent people do not fare well with Wael Al-Mazeedi. JC seems to have gotten along quite well with WAM. Which makes JC....inept? Or maybe he was rewarded for his support?? Just asking.

He was an idiot to work for Al-Mazeedi. Or as James said, in his own words, "Competent people do not fare well with Al-Mazeedi."

He was rewarded for his support. But I would not be smiling if I was James. If Mr. Murphy is called to testify James will not want to stand by what he submitted to Federal Court. It will be interesting.

"officer of the court" n. any person who has an obligation to promote justice and effective operation of the judicial system, including judges, the attorneys who appear in court, bailiffs, clerks, and other personnel. As officers of the court LAWYERS have an ABSOLUTE ETHICAL DUTY to tell judges the truth, including avoiding dishonesty or evasion about reasons the attorney or his/her client is not appearing, the location of documents and other matters related to conduct of the courts.

WilmerHale, anybody??? James Commodore, anybody??? FoleyHoag, anybody???

Why did WilmerHale withdraw??? They certainly are not any cheaper than FoleyHoag, or any better for that matter, considering their "track record" with Wael Al-Mazeedi.

They had to petition US Federal court to release them from their obligation to represent Al-Mazeedi.

BTW, we've already mentioned that we have additional correspondence (and photos) from JC with his former colleagues that he has probably already forgotten about. We think they'll be helpful to validate the VERACITY of JC's statements to the court.

JC lied to the Court. He will be called out soon.

I worked with JC and Mr. Murphy the former IT Manager who knows more than enough stuff on Mr. James Commodore.

When Martin Betancourt calls Mr. Murphy to testify in Federal Court the jury will hear a lot of information about Mr. James Commodore and why did Mr. Al-Mazeedi didn't file a complaint against Mr. James Commodore for "Illegally copying ALL THE LEGAL DOCUMENTS of BTU/QGEN/etc.. to his personal equipment on his home computers."

But Mr. Al-Mazeedi didn't request:
1) James to bring in those computers for a forensic review.

2) James wasn't fired, even though he copied ALL the documents to his personal external harddrive and his personal computers, that he gave to Mr. Martin Betancourt with ALL legal documents for BTU/QGEN.

3) James was PAID until the end of the year to basically go away, but make-up stuff and filed it with the Federal Courts.

4) ALL BTU/QGEN Confidential Policies were broken and NO ACTION was taken? I bet Mr. Murphy will speak on this in OPEN COURT to a jury.

Mr. Martin Betancourt's lawyers will love to watch how a CEO will flip his story on a dime, doesn't do anything because James was PAID to shut up and go away.

5) James worked in MA.

6) James didn't pass the MA bar exam.

7) James worked as a lawyer in MA, but didn't even pass the bar in Massachusetts, come on he is a perfect match for the Al-Mazeedi "1 Billion Dollar business", right?

This will be the biggest joke in the MA Federal Courts. I know that Mr. Murphy was paid to completely LOCK DOWN James Commodore Mac laptop and watch everything he did. Including all out going email was cleared with the CEO Office and any and all emails were blindly (bcc:) without James knowing to various CEO office people were getting the emails sent/received. Former CEO Office Christina Stephens read all of Wael/Mitsue and many more employees without restrictions.

I can't wait to see James testify and then Mr. Murphy destroy everything that he says.

James told everyone about how the W&H lawyer killed himself because he was not to ever work with Mr. Al-Mazeedi again. The W&H lawyer was terminated from his job for working/meeting with Wael. The W&H lawyer killed himself. Just Google it and you will find his name. There was college fund setup in the dead lawyer's name for his kids. Life Insurance doesn't cover suicide.

James is a young lawyer and has a lot to lose, but the question is how much did Mr. Al-Mazeedi pay him to go away and how much did he pay him for those false statements.

See you in Federal Court in a few month.

Dear McLayton,

I think you sum it up in James's own words below.

" Martin,
In case you run into any lawyers, law firms, or companies who may be interested in new hires, attached is my resume.
Try and enjoy your holiday.
James"

Nothing new going on in the office. Same shit, just different people.

Same old same old... Always trying to raise funds for WAM's next abomination. I wonder who's gonna lend him any money with this blog showing up on top of the search for QGEN/BTU.

Anonymous said...

NO ONE will "Invest" with him.

I heard that James was lame duck lawyer that Wael enjoyed playing him for a fool and continues to play him in the Betancourt case for his fillings.

It does not look good for James for what I hear in our office now-a-days.

He wasn't smart to research BTU before taking a job here.
