Voluminous: favorite term of Richard Johnston (WilmerHale)

 VOLUMINOUS
Voluminous has been used in the:

Counsel's Certification of Reasons why Notice to Defendant of Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining Order Should Not Be Required
"I, Richard A. Johnston, Esq., am a senior partner with the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP."
"In support of this certification and based upon my knowledge of the underlying facts of this matter, I state as follow:
"
"Particularly with regard to the voluminous and highly sensitive material included within the twelve gigabytes of digital documents..."
Affidavit of Brian Murphy
"For nine hours, from 9:16:53 a.m. to 6:07:07 p.m., voluminous sets of files were opened and/or copied
Affidavit of James Commodore
"I do not know what became of those voluminous documents and files.
Affidavit of Alycia Lyons Goody
"I am doing so because of the plaintiff's extraordinary request that BTU Holdings and all of its affiliates be ordered immediately to produce voluminous documents as part of a preliminary injunction order."
  • All of these documents were supposed to have been drafted INDEPENDENTLY by the relevant individual on the basis of their own personal and direct knowledge (not Richard A. Johnston's)
  • Kind of interesting that they all see VOLUMINOUS things... Or, maybe, someone took their affidavits and adjusted them or maybe, they wrote them for them...
Maye someone out there knows more about this...

BTW:
Richard A Johnston, WilmerHale, was the attorney of record for
  • BTU Holdings Company in the Hayat Litigation.  .  In the affidavit of Alycia Lyons Goody she is making representations on behalf of BTU Holdings Company, Richard Johnston's client.
  • BTU Ventures, Inc. in the Betancourt Litigation

Recommendation
Richard, buy yourself a thesaurus.

Murphy never used VOLUMINOUS in any affidavit.

What was the sentence that Murphy used "voluminous"?

I will ask him when I see him tonight.

I couldn't wait until tonight.

I called Murphy on his cell and he said "I never wrote, I never said, I never typed an affidavit with the word voluminous. I hand wrote the affidavit for the Mr. Betancourt case."

James Commodore would never say "voluminous".

Ms. Goody probably let Mr. Johnson write the entire thing. Less work.

Blogger,

Why was "Notice to Defendant of Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining Order"?

Who wanted the restraining order? and Why?

It seems strange that

"For nine hours, from 9:16:53 a.m. to 6:07:07 p.m., voluminous sets of files were opened and/or copied".

Question: How did they track who opened what files? (As a forensic expert, it is hard to track that information on a PC share setup.)

"twelve gigabytes of digital documents..."

Question: What was the 12 GB? I read on here that is was 12 pages, if that. And nothing was WORTH ANY VALUE, to anyone! It appears a big waste of money, time and court time.

"All of these documents were supposed to have been drafted INDEPENDENTLY"

The people being used here should print this blog and submit it to Federal Court so a jury can see this. Coincident? I think not!

Mr. Betancourt should gladly ask Mr. Murphy to appear in Court to explain VOLUMINOUS.

Mr. Betancourt should gladly ask Mr. Commodore to appear in Court to explain VOLUMINOUS.

Mr. Betancourt should gladly ask Ms. Goody to appear in Court to explain VOLUMINOUS.

The funniest line is that "Draft INDEPENDENTLY". That means someone told them what to write!
