BUT did anyone come to an agreement yet?
It appears that he really wants to follow thru with Mr. Betancourt case, but risks everything, which appears not be anything, knowing that his former IT Manager Brian Murphy, as his lawyer said it best with a public filing "HE WILL TESTIFY".
You think his wife would have given him better advice.

"Mr. Murphy states that he has not entered into the forensic review agreement because Mr. Al-Mazeedi has recently violated confidentiality agreements in this and the related litigation involving Martin Betancourt by posting confidential information from discovery disclosures on BTU's website. Mr. Murphy's review of the site last week showed that the information was still posted, even though Mr. Betancourt's attorney had sent a letter to BTU's counsel on or about February 25, 2011 complaining about the confidentiality violation. Until it appears that Mr. Al-Mazeedi is willing to abide by confidentiality agreement, Mr. Murphy does not want to put his personal information from an iPhone and hard drives at risk."

They were also designed to ensure that no party to the litigation had exclusive control over certain BTU documents that have been subpoenaed from Mr. Murphy by Martin Betancourt, who is a party to litigation with BTU in this Court." [footnote 1]
[footnote 1] "Mr. Murphy’s preference for securing evidence with the Court is well founded. On November 30, 2009 he notified the plaintiffs’ CEO, Wael Al-Mazeedi by letter of his claims against BTU of unlawful discharge, wage violations and audio surveillance in violation of M.G.L. c. 272, § 99. Mr. Murphy’s counsel later learned from BTU’s counsel (not counsel of record in this action) that digital video captured by BTU’s surveillance system on December 3—video which, Mr. Murphy will testify, shows BTU’s preparations to conduct illegal audio surveillance on Martin Betancourt—had been overwritten and no longer existed on BTU’s computers. Fortunately, Mr. Murphy had prepared a cd backup of the December 3, 2008 video surveillance while he was IT Manager at BTU, with responsibility for the surveillance system. If I was him, I would let a jury see all the information in PUBLIC court to hear, Al-Mazeedi has more to lose.
Any video submitted in Federal/State court as evidence always helps a jury come to a quick vote.
The blog is a great resource and a jury would be able to READ everything too. It would be very entertaining to be on the jury and not laugh at you know who.

All of the companies have NO Assets except the one that Mr. Hayat formed with Mr Al-Mazeedi and Mitsue Oishi (Mrs. Al-Mazeedi). Now Hayat is suing him since being voted out by the "50 Dollar Man" from Kawait.
The video has been subpoenaed by Betancourt's lawyer. The video will be part of C. Stephens' deposition. There is no protective order in place regarding C. Stephens' deposition. Wael Al-Mazeedi can't put one in place for her. Additionally, C. Stephens has listed her profession numerous times as "Manager of the Chairman's Office" or something to that effect... Pretty highfalutin title... Means that she wanted to tell the world that she had exclusive and unfettered access to that Chairman of the Board that towers above all others... Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi... SHE MUST KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT WAEL AL-MAZEEDI, we bet...
the fact that Murphy preserved the video speaks for itself... BTU (Wael Al-Mazeedi) claimed that "it had been overwritten"... HOW CONVENIENT considering that digital storage is so damned cheap and Al-Mazeedi must have tons of it... in the Betancourt litigation he was "able to go back in time" and oversee Betancourt's activities... but when it comes to preserving evidence for forthcoming trials he claims it was just "erased"...
We know that at least one of the persons ensnared in Al-Mazeedi's litigation assault is doing what it takes to make this a trial by jury... no settlements, no anything that allows Al-Mazeedi to stand behind Protective Orders and lawyers when he speaks. As someone has commented in this blog, this will be an UNFILTERED questioning.

His lawyer did the right thing and had "Murphy deposited "BTU's created surveillance video" with the Court on Jan. 11, 2010."
Does Mr. Betancourt's lawyer got a copy from the Courts?
Could Al-Mazeedi want his iPhone because it has the "Court Submitted video" or something else?

The video being recorded by their system was a very smart move by that IT Manager. The best move he did was file it with the Federal Courts.
