Affinity fraud: Fleecing the flock | The Economist

Coincidence that The Economist published the following article today?

Affinity fraud: Fleecing the flock | The Economist:

"The big business of swindling people who trust you"

Borrowed from The Economist publication

We are waiting for Wael's filing in the Betancourt litigation, due today, 6 pm EST.
Borrowed from The Economist:
Are these the Middle East investors in BTU Power Company and BTU Power Company II?
Prospective investors in BTU Industries?
Prospective investors in QGen?
Etc.
Borrowed from The Economist
Nice Quote
"It will take time to gauge the full extent of the losses, not least because it will require untangling a web of companies, some of them shells."
Sound familiar?  Tibor Toth, Chief Investment Officer for QGen Ltd. (Cayman Islands shell company) any comment?

Observation
Technically "BTU" is not strictly a Ponzi scheme because the second round of suckers have not invested in QGen yet.  Or have they?  QGen Ltd. Chief Investment Officer, can you enlighten us?

Another quote from The Economist article:
“He was a master of creating a marketing presence. He would say: ‘If you want to check me out, just Google me.’”
If prospective investors Googled WAM and found ONLY his fake blogs praising his salvation of the planet he might have a nice NEW big fat offshore bank account.  Too bad for WAM that he doesn't control the content in the internet, such as this blog.  Wonder what his pitch was when someone asked him about stuff that came up in their Google searches?
Thanks Google & MIT!
WAMo looking for more sheep.
People at MIT are really brainy.
Nevertheless, if you pay MIT enough money they are happy to play stupid for anybody in the world
Wael Al Ponzidi
The Visionary Savior of the Planet!
Also the Mudarib of Dubai Islamic Bank's investment - he entered into a Fatwa.
Ably served in this obligation by his faithful servants:
Simon Firth, Akira Naoi, and Mary Beth Bruce
[Note:  Shana Sadiq, former Corporate Counsel for BTU and current associate attorney for Allen & Overy is VERY familiar with the Fatwa.]
A Fatwa is a legal pronouncement in Islam.  It's also a solemn convent under Sharia law.
Last Quote
"One Ponzi, at the Baptist Foundation of Arizona, used 120 shell firms to extract $590m from members."
Simon Firth, how many shells have Wael & Mitsubishi created in the Cayman Islands?  Was the Ponzi mentioned above a client of yours?

WAM_SCAM must be held accountable. Same for all his little helpers that received BIG paychecks.

Yes. He ran like a dog out the door. But he took some files with him, I bet.

His "Insurance", that he will show up in court. The MIS guys didn't even get all his stuff back. Clowns.
