Majed Halawi "speaks" (October 3, 2011) regarding the BTU Power Company acquisition of Carthage Power Company from PSEG and his relationship with Wael Al-Mazeedi. He states that he wants to "clarify some points".... Why does Majed want to say anything about BTU at this time???

From an UNSOLICITED LinkedIn email from:
Mr. Halawi to Mr. Betancourt dated October 3, 2011 (yesterday).

We open this posting with Mr. Halawi's closing remark:
Last but not least, all this has no importance now. I just wanted to clarify some facts and misconceptions it seems you have.

Somehow, after requesting an "introduction" through a former colleague of Mr. Betancourt and Mr. Halawi, the introduction is "withdrawn" by Mr. Halawi on the very same day.  As far as we know he has not been noticed to be deposed by the litigants.  He has not been subpoenaed by US Federal or Massachusetts State courts.  Since he is apparently living and working in Saudi Arabia he is, for all intents and purposes, out of the reach of US courts.  Nothing  and nobody is compelling him to say anything... He does name a lot of names though.  Maybe that was the point.  Go figure.

We will post the content of the "clarification" shortly.

From a LinkedIn email from Mr. Halawi to Mr. Betancourt:
Majed Halawi withdrew this introduction:
The need has been filled

Martin, by pure coincidence I came across your complaint against BTU. I know that it was some years now. However I would like to clarify some points, just for the record since you obviously refer to me in one paragraph.
Majed states that he wants to "clarify some points, just for the record" .... what record is he talking about?  This blog?

So what did his email say?

Is the Betancourt case in Federal or State courts?

When is Mr. Al-Mazeedi getting his ass dragged into Court?

Soon?

I bet Mr. Betancourt wins!

Wael is already scheduled for Massachusetts State court in a few months (D. McBrearty case). US Federal court is quicker, so he may have to haul his ass into court before New Year's? Thanksgiving? Halloween?

Wonder what law firm will be representing him at the time. FoleyHoag loses all the time. WilmerHale lost most of the time (but they petitioned to WITHDRAW from WAel Almazeedi, so we know they won't be around).

Leonardo Learner is still there, right? Single lawyer in his single lawfirm. He will stick around for sure. After representing Wael Almazeedi for almost ten years, you have to stay in that line of business (business tycoons that make other people's money disappear)
