Wael Al-Mazeedi: A review of logic, purpose and/or motive in his lawsuits against former employees and contractors - Mr. Murphy's case

Perhaps the following is somewhat of a cautionary tale. Being on Al Mazeedi's "good side" does not equate to a "good outcome" for those around him:

Murphy submitted two affidavits to US Federal Court in the Betancourt litigation:
  • 1st affidavit in support of Al Mazeedi's litigation against Betancourt: January 14, 2009
  • 2nd affidavit in support of Al Mazeedi's litigation against Betancourt: February 9, 2009
A little bit less than a year later:
  • Murphy was sued by Al Mazeedi on January 7, 2010
Details and discussion will follow. Focus will be on Al Mazeedi's "allegiance" to those that "support" him. One word comes to mind describing Al Mazeedi's regard for those people: DISPOSABLE

Oh, we forgot to mention this, but perhaps we don't have to, Al Mazeedi keeps on being Al Mazeedi and living like Al Mazeedi.... and everybody else... they are just a part of the past.

Has Betancourt lawyer(s) done a deposition of Murphy?

What are the lawyers waiting for? I bet he has some interesting facts in his case since he gave key video to the Federal Courts vs Mr. Al-Mazeedi as you linked in this blog.

Why did he sue Murphy? What is the status of that case?

regarding the Betancourt and Murphy litigations: Christina Stephens was noted as a deponent...so was Faisal Khan as well as Geoffrey or Jeffrey Kent, former controller at BTU Ventures (unless he has decided to name his former employer as "anonymous" or "confidential"), in which case it would be, Geoffrey - or Jeffrey Kent, WORKED for "confidential"

Has Ms. Stephens been named as a deponent in the Betancourt case?

Anonymous said...

Yes, she has. Don't think she's been deposed yet , though.

What is Betancourt waiting for?

depositions in the Betancourt litigation are going forward (Almazeedi, Stephens, etc.) it appears Betancourt's already been deposed. now Almazeedi and Stephens have to agree on a date for their depositon (or subpoenas can be issued to compel them).

Betancourt litigation: court filing from today (April 21) shows a request for discovery extension (until July 1), due in part to "Unavailability of certain witnesses for deposition due to medical issues." We'll leave it up to everybody else to guess who those CERTAIN WITNESSES are...
