The "zealous advocate" - WilmerHale's commercial role in Meiya

From WilmerHale's own website we have an abbreviated description of their role (besides litigating on behalf of Al-Mazeedi, Oishi, and the BTU group of companies) in the "sale" of Meiya Power Company.
"Represented energy-focused private equity firm BTU Power Management Company in a secured $240 million term credit facility from Standard Chartered Bank in the connection with the acquisition of Chinese electricity generation assets."

Note: WilmerHale is involved in every single one of the known lawsuits in the US involving BTU (see section titled "BTU Lawyers").

Blogger,

As an insider, I'm awaiting hearing about school and walking away from Wael's inner circle. I can't be bothered. I hope he reads this. I assume he does since your blog is getting alot of pageviews. Most likely Wael and his lawyers doing all the reading. Maybe they will post something too.

You point out that Wilmerhale was here when Wael, Mitsue, and Hayat had great success, but I can see the end of the tunnel soon. Mitsue wants to return to Japan since her mother has passed away. She hates it here in the US. I can't deal with all this crazy locked down Macs, management reading each and each email going in and out, 5 hr manager changes and 4 it manager changes just recently.

You should see the office now. All co-workers are looking for work including his top exec. who is here to just close down correctly, sorry I had to say it. He already has another job setup.

Speaking of Wilmerhale, former BTU&QGENEnergy General council Jonathan Golden, whom got let go (from Wilmerhale) and was hired by Wael, said before his last day "As lawyers we deal with alot of BS, and I couldn't deal with his (Wael's) any longer..." before he was shown the door. Jon got his pen on his last day with the finance guy that left too. I guess I should be receiving the order to go buy pens in bulk soon.

Blogger, you should have a section to allow people to just post comments.

I guess this site should be setup as our homepage.

Free me.

As someone close to Mr. Al-mazeedi, you know he is already out of business but just keeps funding a dead company.

This blogger is organizing all the reason why not.

He is the fool now thinking he will get funding. Wael will create another company in his only office and fund himself!. Funny thing, Ms. Oishi, was his 2nd wife back then and I wonder if she left. Same on her if she is still with him. At least they left that Burlington office.

I worked for him many years ago and he was a kuwait nut job and scared of his own shadow playing tennis.
